‘Get Real Children’s Books’ are written for young children about their own experiences and interests.  When children connect with a meaningful story, this encourages them to recall their memories or anticipate future events.  This, in turn, supports children to develop the language connected to these experiences and retell situations they wish to share.

The first book in this series, ‘My Bali Holiday’, was inspired after the author returned from a family holiday in Bali. The holiday was a wonderful experience for the children who continued to look at the holiday photos and tell stories of Bali to friends and family for weeks afterwards. This discussion soon led to a small photo book being put together and eventually to the publication of a delightful little picture book that all young children holidaying in Bali can connect with.
